Synopsis: [?] [From The Moving Picture World]? All must be sacrificed to supply Mrs. Gudnite’s excessive demands for self-adornment. Old man Gudnite does the best he can to earn enough money to settle her terrible bills. But, what’s the use? All he can possibly earn is only a drop in the bucket. Ah! the villainous tailor has a scheme: “Deliver your fair daughter, Lizzie, into my clutches and I’ll call off your bill.” This proposition strikes Mrs. Gudnite just right. With joy and eagerness she delivers up Lizzie to settle her bill. Now in this deal one person was overlooked. This is our hero. Shultz. He heeds Lizzie’s screams for succor. Then indeed does the villain find his hands full, and the trail burning hot behind him. It is Schultz coming. The scheming tailor is finally run to earth. He fights, but meets his match in Brady and perishes miserably. Then old man Gudnite finds that his old age is to be blessed with a son-in-law much to his own heart, while his spoiled wife is made to acknowledge and amend the error of her ways.

Reviews: [The Moving Picture World, 10 October 1914, page ?] A low comedy number giving a fairly entertaining burlesque of a melodrama. Max Asher appears as Schultz. He saves the girl from the toils of the villainous collector; the latter dives from a high bridge. Some of the scenes toward the last were far from inviting. This is only fair as a whole.
