Musser control number 388.

Performance: Dance.

Synopsis: [Catalogue, F.Z. Maguire & Company, (March 1898), page 42] Shows James T. Kelly and Dorothy Kent, of Waite’s Comedy Company, in their popular dance known as the “Charity Ball.” The dance is a reproduction of one of the figures of the german, as danced at the famous Charity Ball, which is given each year by the “400” of New York. The performers are in full dress, Miss Kent’s costume being white, thus making it suitable for coloring. The picture is clear, sharp, the figures full life size and the subject pleasing.

Survival status: Prints exist in the Library of Congress film archive (paper print collection) [35mm paper positive, 35mm duplicate negative, 35mm reference positive].
